As I arrived back from my run this morning, I noticed a flock of birds in the neighbours' crabapple trees. On closer inspection they proved to be Cedar Waxwings, one of my favorite birds and only the second time I've seen them! They would eat a few crabapples and then fly back across the street to rest and digest on the power lines. They have yellow "wax" at the tips of their tails and red "wax" on the tips of their wings. They are also gregarious.
